It’s a 15 minute walk from the top of town, or a 20-25 min walk from the railway station.
BY CAR
From A38 Buckfastliegh turning: continue towards Totnes on the A384, turning left on second roundabout to the A385 (Totnes), continue under metal foot bridge and turn right at the traffic lights/Western bypass/A381 Kingsbridge road. A short way up the hill turn right at the traffic lights onto the Plymouth Road . . . . .
From Newton Abbot: take the A381, then turn right onto the A385 Totnes through road. At the traffic lights turn left onto the Western bypass/A381 Kingsbridge road. A short way up the hill turn right at the traffic lights onto the Plymouth Road . . .
From the train station (25 minutes walk): turn right at exit, and then at the traffic lights turn left onto the Western bypass/A381 Kingsbridge road. A short way up the hill turn right at the traffic lights onto the Plymouth Road . . . . .
From the High Street (Fore Street — 15 minutes walk): proceed to the top and turn right opposite the record shop, and then cross the traffic lights across the Western bypass/A381 Kingsbridge Road onto the Plymouth Road . . .
. . . Once on the Plymouth Road: the Follaton Estate/Punchards Down turning is the first right turning after the cemetery and speed camera (on the right): . My road, Whiteley Avenue is third on the right. I’m on the right, just before Follaton shop and hall.
Or from Plymouth: A38 to South Brent turning. On leaving the A38 follow the Totnes signs: first right, first left. Then follow the Old Plymouth road a few miles till the road thins on the outskirts of Totnes. Take the first left onto Punchards Down/Follaton Estate when the road widens. My road, Whiteley Avenue is third on the right. I’m on the right,just before Follaton shop and hall.
Parking: park on my half of my drive if there is room, park on the road, or park next to Follaton Hall: very close. Please don’t use the shop’s, parking spaces (thank you).
Warning: occasionally very old Sat Navs sometimes misdirect one to the centre of Totnes using my postcode.

On entering Wharf Road, go past the left turn and we share an entrance with Tumbling Teds Playhouse in the next building on the left. It is walking distance from the railway station and the shopping center. Parking is limited in the few spaces provided in front of the Wellness Rooms, so I recommend arriving early (there is a waiting room), and if there are no spaces available, ask inside if there is anyone available to help find a spot. If not, there is a car park nearby at the B&Q store TQ12 2SL : turn right out of the estate and it is the opposite side of the next roundabout – no one has yet had problems leaving their cars at the roundabout end. Or there is parking in Osborn Street Car Park TQ12 2DJ – either 2nd or 3rd road on the left when leaving the estate, next to Osborne Park, 5 minutes walk away.
